Victory follows in their wake
From 22. – 24. Of May Tour des Fjords will be held along the southern coast of southern Norway. Several of the world best teams will be competing, and the fight for victory will be tough. Now the time has come to present the remainder of the peloton; Quick-Step Floors Pro Cycling Team, Trek – Segafredo, CCC Sprandi Polkowice and Delko Marseille Provence KTM.
No teams have been able to match Quick-Step Floors winning streak the last 5 years. With more than 50 wins each season since 2012, you can safely bet on them winning again whenever they compete. The team has won a total of 629 wins, as of writing this, 75 of them are grand tour stages and a monumental 15 of them come from the monuments in cycling. Patrick Lefevere’s men has for a long time been one of most successful squads there is, and now they are lining up in Norway for the first time. With such merits we shouldn’t be surprised if the team travels home with gold in their backpacks.
Offence is the best defense
Having started Trek – Segafredo as an Luxembourg-based team in 2011, the team now resides safely in the U.S. Despite the young age, the team has already won 28 national championships, stages at all the grand tours, Olympic gold medal and several monuments. With such merits, the teams show that victory is not a matter of luck, it is all hard-fought battles to the line. And the way to win those races have been many, from sprints, breakaways or just crushing the opposition across the cobbles. Now they are lining up in Norway and with such iron-will, it sure is going to be exciting to watch them fight it out on Norwegian roads.
Successful on Norwegian roads
CCC Sprandi Polkowice will yet again be lining up in Tour des Fjords. Easily recognizable in their bright orange suits, the team always leaves their mark. An offensive team that thrives at the front of the race and has often got their success from it. The team has previously experienced great success on Norwegian roads and we can expect a team that offers up exciting racing.
Baby blue gentlemen
The distinctive French team Delko Marseille Provence KTM will yet again fight for glory in Tour des Fjords. The team has previously housed several Scandinavian riders in their relative short history, and in their bright blue suits they are easily recognizable in the peloton. Known for their offensive cycling, the team’s success has often come from long days ahead of the peloton. Last year the team traveled home from Tour des Fjords, and they have all intentions of doing the same again.
Whole hearted Dutch
The Pro Continental Team Roompot – Nederlandse Loterij will be competing with a completely Dutch line-up as they compete for victory in Tour des Fjords. The team often resides in front of the peloton in the crosswind races of Netherland and should be well adapted to ride along the coast of Norway. As a team they have had success in Norway before, and surely wants to keep the good trend going strong.
